Frequently Asked Questions
What is pole dancing?
Pole dancing is a form of exotic dance which
incorporates the use of a highly polished metal pole allowing you to master and
perform tricks, spins and poses. Pole dancing is heavily associated with gentleman’s
clubs / lap dancing venues and other strip orientated work. Please note that
not all pole dancers take off their clothes! Pole dancing is an art form which
requires strength and ability and when performed is extremely graceful and
enjoyable to watch. Pole dance takes elements from other well know dance forms
such as ballet and even acrobatics and gymnastics. This is an ancient form of
dance and self expression used for many years worldwide and can be enjoyed by
all.

welcome, remember we were all beginners once! Our courses are designed to

What do I wear?
Top Half – any vest or t-shirt you would
usually use for training or any gym activity in would be ideal.
Bottom Half – We do recommend shorts as u will
find that you use your thighs for gripping the pole and wearing jogging bottoms
/ trousers can restrict the moves you will be able to try and master on the
pole although jogging bottoms are fine is that is what you prefer to start.
Shoes – bare feet, trainers, dance shoes
and for those who feel comfortable and adventurous heels can also be worn.
NOTE – Please note, no body creams, fake
tans, moisturisers, oils or any other body lotions to be applied at least 8
hours before using the pole as this will make you hands and body greasy and
prone to slipping.
